CNC Technician
Full-time, permanent
£12-15 p/h DOE plus opportunities for overtime

Location: based at our offices between Cheltenham and Tewkesbury. Our location is fairly rural and not
served by public transport, so own means of transport is essential

We specialise in the design, build and installation of bespoke control systems, factory
automation systems, vision inspection, plastic container handling and robotics.

You will have the opportunity to bring our customers’ automation aspirations to life, working across a variety
of industry sectors and on some ground-breaking projects.

A lot of what we do is typically bespoke to our customers and to date there’s not been an automation
challenge we’ve not been able to support or that we have walked away from.

The role:
Working as part of a closely-knit team, the CNC Technician is an integral role requiring advanced
manufacturing engineering skills as well as time management, to ensure that complex precision component
machining is delivered to the highest possible standards and in a timely fashion.

Key responsibilities include:
· Interpreting technical drawings/documents to create CNC programs
· Setting and running multi axis CNC machines
· Setting and running manual mills / lathes
· Supporting the flow of production and helping to ensure production stays on track
· Ensuring machinery is used in a safe and efficient manner

To be considered for the role, you ideally will:
· have sound experience of machine shop environments and processes
· have extensive experience machining components from specialist materials; using conventional and
CNC machines such as centre lathes, vertical and horizontal milling machines, horizontal and
cylindrical grinding machines, and single and multi-axis CNC machine tools
· Read and interpret technical drawings
· be a great problem solver and tenacious
· be able to work autonomously and as part of a team
· have the desire to learn and improve yourself
· Know when to escalate
· have a positive outlook – We are Solutioneers™
· be fluent in English (second language is always a plus)
· have a ‘can do’ attitude (we are a small but growing team – we don’t have room for divas!)
· have good communication skills

· Remuneration: Good rate of pay in line with experience along with the opportunity for overtime at
