THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced Key Account Manager, preferably from the Power Supply Industry, but technical sales experience into the UK’s largest OEM’s is essential.  The role will require you to manage and grow our largest customers in the South of the England, you will also need to develop new business in key target accounts in new, existing and emerging markets by building strong relationships, and managing the sales cycle through to completion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To build strong business relationships at all levels within our key accounts. Aid them through the life cycle of the project, offering technical support in the development stage, through to Quarterly Business Reviews when in production.
  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of our product range, allowing you to guide customer to the best Power Solution for their application.
  • Prospect and identify new customers and opportunities.
  • Be capable of negotiating contracts and pricing to maximise margin and limiting our liability.
  • Assist customers in resolving technical issues.
  • Create and adapt strategies to meet productivity and revenue goals.
  • Visit customer regularly to develop strong relationships with key engineering and purchasing contacts.
  • Maintain our Salesforce CRM system – Contacts, Projects & Forecast.
  • Work closely with our sales support, quality and engineering teams to ensure customer needs are managed efficiently.
  • Be capable of calmly managing conflict situations.

KEY QUALIFCATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Completed studies in electrical engineering, energy technology or physics, alternatively electronics engineer or technician with more than 5 years of professional experience, focus on power electronics is desirable.
  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding targets in business development.
  • Experienced Key Account Management of Large OEM’s.
  • Sales Background in Power Conversion Technology is desirable.
  • Independent, Proactive and highly motivated.
  • Highly professional communication, negotiation and presentation skills. (articulate, self-aware and personable)
  • Strong customer orientation with hands-on mentality.
  • Decision maker.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Outlook and Salesforce is desirable but not essential.
