HGV Class 2 Basic

CLASS 2 DRIVERS REQUIRED

This is a specialist role as you will be delivering to hospitals and patient homes. You need to have customer service skills and have patience due to the nature of the work. You will be dealing with NHS staff and sick patients as you will be delivering medical supplies. We need our drivers to be mindful for patient’s they are delivering to.

ALL DRIVERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO UNDERTAKE A ADVANCED DBS CHECK.

Day to day duties will include.

• Hospital and home patient deliveries
• Hospitals
  • 1-5 drops (approx. but can vary upward slightly)
  • Pallet deliveries into hospitals
  • Delivering to a single store through to ward level deliveries
• Patients
  • Up to 12 drops per day
  • Delivering a pallet of stock to a patient’s home
  • Includes decanting the pallet and moving the stock into the property – location of patient’s choice i.e. downstairs living room, top floor rear bedroom, shed, converted loft etc – there is no limit to where the patient wants the stock (providing safe)

  • We are a pharma delivery service – focus and attention to deliveries is essential, we do not miss deliver as this could be life impacting should patients consume the wrong stock – its prescribed medicine….

 
As a person you will need the following qualities and experience:

You must have Class 2 driving experience.

Possess a valid Driver CPC, Digital Tachograph Card and Driving License

Willing to unload and deliver medical supplies to hospitals and patient homes.

Must be able to communicate both verbal and written.

Shift start times are between 5AM to 6AM, keep shift can be 10 to 12 hours.

Guaranteed 8 hours paid.

RATES WITH HOLIDAY INCLUDED:

Monday to Friday £15.76 an hour        £18.47 overtime rate

Saturday £18.47 and Sunday £19.87

Sign on bonus of £1500 temp to perm.

£20.00 attendance bonus per week

ALL DRIVERS WILL NEED TO BE ASSESSED AND RECEIVE ONE DAY CLASSROOM TRAINING DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE WORK.
