The XP Power Group Finance team are looking for a dynamic and adaptable Finance Manager to become a critical part of the Finance team.


Working closely with the Group Financial Controller and with our teams in Europe, Asia and North America regions you will need excellent interpersonal skills alongside technical capability and understanding of a listed PLC environment. The role also works alongside governance functions to ensure the appropriate controls and activities for a listed PLC are embedded.


This broad role can grow with the individual and will take responsibility for a number of critical PLC requirements, as well as supporting strategic activities of the group. Focus areas will include, but not be limited to:


  • Cash, debt and currency management and transactions
  • Commercial understanding, critical analysis, and forecasting of cash flows
  • Design, oversight and reporting of the framework of internal controls
  • Annual and interim reporting, accounting policy and governance
  • Support to critical group-wide projects



  • Group Treasury & Cash Management
    • Work with Group Financial Controller to define and own Treasury strategy, policies
    • Perform and oversee operational treasury activities, including cash flow forecasting, funding requirements and fx hedging
    • Preparation of treasury management information for presentation to the Executive Leadership Team and Board
  • Forecasting and analysis – Cash
    • Consolidation and review of cash flow forecast
    • Review and analysis of actual vs forecast performance, identification of intervention and improvement actions
    • Work with regional controllers to improve cash forecasting process and ensure linkage to P&L forecast and analysis
  • Framework of Internal Controls
    • Review, embed and monitor the group’s internal control framework, making improvements and recommendations where appropriate, along with oversight of control improvement plans
    • Work with Internal Audit and external auditors to ensure the framework of controls meets the needs of the business and supports and efficient audit process
    • Ensure key risks and mitigations are identified and owned and documentation maintained
    • Work with Business Systems, Operations and Supply chain teams to ensure controls are embedded
    • Co-ordinate the control self-assessment (CSA) process
    • Ensure high quality reporting on the control environment, including reporting to the Audit Committee
  • Annual and interim reporting
    • Support the preparation and review of the Group’s Annual and Interim reports and quarterly trading updates
    • Work with Group and Regional finance teams to ensure completion of external audit
    • Review of new standards and requirements to ensure reporting compliance
    • Preparation of Audit Committee papers and key actions


>  Key Qualifications and Skills

  • Qualified accountant, preferably with big 4 experience
  • Understanding of listed PLC and Group Finance activities
  • Internal controls, ideally in a multinational environment
  • Understanding of (or aptitude to learn) system-based controls in SAP
  • Influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to work with diverse teams to embed best practice
  • Ability to present detailed information clearly, confidently, and concisely
  • Project management and relationship management skills, with the ability to deal with ambiguity and change
