Transport Coordinator PM - MONDAY-FRIDAY 13:00-21.30
Salary: £25,000

Duties include (but not limited to):
• Plan resources to meet work demands and minimum key performance indicators
• Assign and maximise the utilisation of drivers and vehicles daily
• Drivers' hours management as per DVSA and WTD legislation
• Source local sub-contractors as and when required
• Liaise with Drivers and Customers in relation to delays and possible issues with delivery
• Effective operation management of the warehouse team
• Review current practises to ensure the business is using the most cost-effective solution

• Previous experience in a fast-paced route planning environment
• Day-to-day planning, including multi drop offs, nightly trucking to ensure fuel efficiency
• Developing and maintaining long-term working relationships with internal and external customers
• Exceptional customer service delivery to external and internal customers
• Be able to build a motivated team to drive levels of customer service and efficiency in all areas of responsibility
• Managing own time, planning and performance on a day-to-day basis

Skills and Attributes:
• Excellent route planning skills and strong geographical knowledge
• Up to date knowledge of the latest transport regulations
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Able to understand the customer requirements, anticipate change and plan responses
• Able to make important decisions within agreed parameters and day to day decisions without referral
• Able to assimilate and analyse information and data from a variety of sources and use this to plan effectively
• Good relationship management skills and ability to build strong relationship
• PC literate with good working knowledge of MS Office packages and previous experience of working with a Transport system
