Hours:

Monday to Friday, 3 shift rotation: am/pm/nights - 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm,6am

Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious, enthusiastic individual to join the Engineering department for a market-leader in the FMCG industry, based in Warwickshire

The successful candidate will be responsible for proactive and reactive maintenance tasks around the site, supporting the Maintenance Manager in the day-to-day maintenance of the production and distribution facilities. This involves attending to both mechanical and electrical faults/breakdowns on various items of plant and machinery, e.g. conveyors; mechanical stripping down, rebuilding, servicing and overhauls etc, including replacing motors, gearboxes, belts, bearings and rollers.

The candidate will need to be self-motivated, able to work on their own initiative, and a team player; an outstanding communicator, with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to proactively focus on delivering the best solutions for the maintenance of our facility.

Ideally the candidate should be electrically qualified with both mechanical and electrical problem-solving skills, good attention to detail, and prior experience of working in a manufacturing environment.

Required:

  • Formal Electrical Qualification/Apprenticeship,
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Able to read both mechanical and electrical schematic drawings
  • Good knowledge of AC motors, inverter drives, PLC’s (Programmable Logic Controllers) and sensors

Advantageous:

  • City & Guilds 2391 Electrical Test and Inspection qualification
  • Basic plumbing skills
  • Fork Truck License
  • Tig Welding experience
  • Generator maintenance experience
  • Legionella Control experience
  • IOSH qualification or similar
