Warehouse team leader


£20,000 - £26,000 D.O.E

Monday to Friday 7am – 3:30pm


Core responsibilities:


Oversee operations for all services at WH / EMC.

Point of contact for operational issues at WH / EMC.

Monitor and improve staff efficiency in WH.

Cover WH Manager / Shift Supervisor / Admin tasks when needed.

Ensure staff are adhering to rules and policies.

To be involved in staff disciplinaries.

Create new processes and monitor existing ones.

Monitor staff development.

Produce, publish and monitor KPI's for improvements.

Monitor, record and address pick / delivery errors and implement corrective actions.

To be involved in staff selection and interview process.


Day-to-day duties: (Some duties will be daily / weekly / monthly)


Ø Run the SOS (Start of shift meeting) when needed.

Ø Reply to correspondence and requirements for all services.

Ø Liaise with the delivery team and admin to produce end of month line counts.

Ø Monitor the daily stock coverage report and communicate / chase possible shortages.

Ø Check and update line walk integrity.

Ø Drive 5s culture and update reports and KPI's weekly. Submit improvement memos to area champions.

Ø Spot check EMC Team Leaders / operatives to ensure they are following process.

Ø Get involved with AG reverse logistics when needed.


Ø Create weekly staffing plan when needed.

Ø Update the dock plan as needed.

Ø Arrange for Brugola empties to be collected.

Ø Record and communicate any export pallet requirements.

Ø Produce any 'ships to customer' requirements.

Ø Write company procedures and create a schedule to process confirm them all within 12 months.

Ø Look into any internal errors / issues and implement new systems to control them.

Ø Keep AG picking errors down to below 0.01%.

Ø Arrange monthly AG rack checks and investigate any discrepancies.

Ø Allocate staff / labour as needed and communicate any additional requirements to the WH Manager.

Ø Create and update staff training records.

Ø Ensure accurate and efficient completion of QC checks.

Ø Ensure admin duties are being completed efficiently.

Ø Delegate tasks to staff and support operation when necessary.

Ø Organise efficient offload of AG freight containers.

Ø Organise weekly racking / fire door / WH capacity checks.

Ø Alert management to serious issues and be able to participate in resolving problems safely.

Ø Lead by example - promote and encourage good behaviours and a positive attitude.

Ø Contact IT for support if required.

Ø Process confirmation of staff.

Ø Training of warehouse new starters.

Ø Ensure MHE checks along with checklist is filled in.

Ø Ensure vans are maintained and kept tidy.
