Location: Bromsgrove

Salary: £18k-£19k

Hours: Monday- Friday 9am – 5pm

Our client requires an experienced Legal Administrator who has experience of Police Station Co-Ordination to join their team on a full time permanent basis. working within the Criminal department.

Day to Day duties will include the following:

You will need some specific skills:

  • To provide an immediate, positive and competent response to all initial contacts to the practice, whether in person, telephone or email.
  • To support the Criminal Team, to provide administrative support to meet the needs of the clients, in particular in supporting the Police Station Representative.

  • To offer a high level of customer service to clients and other third parties
  • To provide an administrative role, in representing clients who require the assistance of the criminal department.

As a person you will need the following qualities and experience:

Role will involve:

  • 2To show a professional and competent ability to use the multi line telephone system. To answer and route all incoming calls to appropriate person and ensure client is signposted as and when required.
  • To greet existing and new clients who attend the office in person
  • To respond to all enquiries made of the practice whether by telephone or in person, and to ensure the client is signposted to the most appropriate person to deal with their enquiry.
  • To schedule clients for appointments where appropriate using shared calendars.
  • To providing tea and / or coffee to any visitor attending at the offices.
  • To undertake any administrative duties such as typing letters, emailing, photocopying, faxing or scanning in order to provide administrative support to the fee earners within the Criminal Team and Police Station Representative to meet the needs of the client.
  • To assist in the collection and taking any of the mail services, either Royal Mail or DX and to ensure post is franked daily.
  • To exhibit confidentiality and discretion at all times in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Practice.
  • To set up new client files for police station billing.
  • To chase police stations for updates relating to client matters on instruction from Police Station Representative.
  • To provide support in respect of the Magistrates Court work by arranging client appointments, applying for IDPC and setting up of new files.
  • To deal with queries from clients in respect of appointments at police stations.
  • To keep a diary of all police station appointments using Microsoft Outlook.
