Payroll & Accounts Technician

Hours: Monday to Friday - 37.5 Hours
£25,000 to £30,000 Per Annum

Remote working, must be able to commute to Birmingham or Redditch

Duties Include:

  • Preparation of monthly payroll for around 1,400 staff, to include:
    • Starters, leavers and salary changes;
    • Overtime and deductions;
    • Bonus’s
    • Calculation of SSP, SMP and AOE’s;
  • Reconciliation of Gross to Net reports
  • Setting up payroll payments
  • Answering payroll queries and holding monthly drop in sessions
  • Payroll Balance Sheet Reconciliations & Journal Entry
  • Payroll Analysis to budgets
  • Other finance duties as required, such as bank processing
  • Maintaining and continuous improvement of good internal controls

Experience:

  • Strong excel skills are essential
  • Previous payroll experience and knowledge of payroll procedures
  • Full knowledge of PAYE, NI and Statutory payroll payments
  • Good communicator
  • Excellent organisation and the ability to work to tight deadlines
