Sales Account Manager

Location: Pershore
Salary: £30,000 to £45,000 Per annum depending on experience
Hours: Week 1, Mon to Fri 6am–3pm + Sat 7am-11am, Week 2 Mon to Thursday 6am-3pm Friday 6am-12pm

Benefits: Performance related bonus, Car allowance/ Company Car

Day to Day duties:

  • Setting of individual sales targets, and maintenance of sales to meet these targets
  • Assure that all suppliers conform to UK/EU regulations regarding the use of pesticides, food safety and labelling through liaison with the Technical Manager
  • Trade product to all customers, maximising sales profitability, whilst maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure stock rotation on an individual portfolio of produce for the whole sales team.
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts.
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly initiatives to SD and BDM
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g., monthly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Prepare reports on account status
  • Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territory
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Utilisation of social media to promote sales and brand awareness

 

Experience & Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role
  • Previous Fresh food produce experience (essential)
  • Relevant industry experience preferable but not essential
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, including Executive and Director Level
  • Experience with CRM software and MS Office (particularly MS Excel)
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to organise diary to ensure customer visits are maximised within territory
  • Full driving licence
