AMCO is currently recruiting HGV Class 2 Night Drivers to join our transport operation.

We are looking for reliable and professional drivers who are comfortable working nights and are looking for consistent work, guaranteed hours and the opportunity to build a long-term career with AMCO.

The Role

This is a night-driving position involving multi-drop deliveries to stores.

Drivers will typically complete 2–4 store deliveries per shift, with handball involved, including assisting with unloading deliveries into stores.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving a Class 2 HGV safely and professionally.

• Completing multi-drop deliveries to stores and distribution centres.

• Typically completing 2–4 deliveries per shift.

• Assisting with unloading and handball where required.

• Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time.

• Completing vehicle checks and reporting any defects.

• Completing delivery paperwork accurately.

• Following all company, customer and site-specific health and safety procedures.

• Maintaining a professional approach when representing AMCO.

Shift Pattern & Hours

• Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday

• Night shifts

• £15.65 per hour

• 40 guaranteed hours per week

• 10-hour shifts guaranteed

• Paid breaks

• Potential opportunity to progress into a permanent position

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• A valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.

• Valid Driver CPC qualification.

• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.

• Previous HGV driving experience.

• Experience with multi-drop deliveries would be advantageous.

• Ability to undertake manual handling and physical work.

• Good knowledge of UK roads.

• Excellent timekeeping and reliability.

• A professional attitude and good communication skills.

• A strong commitment to safe and responsible driving.
