Who we are

McHale Komatsu supplies premium Komatsu construction, mining, quarrying and utility equipment to customers across the UK.

With a network of depots around the country and dedicated product support and service teams, we pride ourselves on providing first-class customer service, hands-on advice and expert support. Innovation is central to what we do, and we are committed to helping our customers find safer, more efficient and more sustainable solutions.

The Opportunity

Are you highly organised, confident managing several priorities and someone who takes pride in getting every detail right?

We are looking for a Sales Administrator to join our team at our Redditch Head Office and play a central role in the journey of every new machine we deliver.

From the moment an order is confirmed through to the day the machine reaches the customer, you will help keep the process moving. You will coordinate information, suppliers, finance and transport while ensuring orders are accurate, deadlines remain on track and everyone involved receives the updates they need.

This is much more than routine administration. It is a varied, fast-paced role offering genuine ownership and the opportunity to make a visible contribution to customer satisfaction and our monthly retail performance.

Help deliver the machines that keep our customers moving.

What you’ll be doing

  • Taking ownership of new machine orders from initial confirmation through to customer delivery.
  • Ordering machinery through the Komatsu Europe network and allocating available McHale Komatsu stock where appropriate.
  • Working closely with Sales Managers to confirm customer requirements, machine specifications and delivery timescales.
  • Liaising with internal teams regarding machine preparation and pre-delivery inspection requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate order information on the Sales Tracker and other company systems.
  • Identifying missing information, discrepancies or potential delays and escalating these before they affect delivery.
  • Raising purchase orders and customer invoices and preparing machine release and delivery documentation.
  • Liaising with suppliers and finance providers to keep orders progressing.
  • Arranging transport and coordinating the timely delivery of new machines to customers.

What we’re looking for

You may already have experience in sales administration, order processing, customer administration, logistics coordination or another fast-paced administrative environment.

Industry experience would be helpful, but it is not essential. What matters most is that you are organised, accurate, proactive and comfortable taking responsibility for a process from start to finish.

You will also need:

  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple orders, priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on getting things right first time.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence liaising with customers, Sales Managers, suppliers and colleagues across the business.
  • A calm, process-driven approach and the judgement to raise issues at the right time.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook and Excel.
  • Confidence learning new systems and processes.
  • A collaborative and helpful approach, particularly during busy periods and at month end.

It would be an advantage if you have:

  • Experience processing high-value or technically detailed customer orders.
  • Experience within machinery, automotive, manufacturing, construction equipment or logistics.
  • Experience using an ERP, sales order processing or stock management system.
  • Experience raising purchase orders, customer invoices or coordinating deliveries.

What you can expect from us

  • A comprehensive induction with ongoing product, system and process training.
  • A supportive and experienced Sales Administration Team.
  • A varied role with genuine ownership and visibility across the business.
  • The opportunity to develop your knowledge of our machines, customers and wider sales operation.
  • A 35-hour working week based at our Redditch Head Office.
  • A competitive salary package, with great benefits
