HGV Class 1 Driver – Trunking – Severnside

🚛 Ongoing Temporary/Ad- Hoc Work Available

We are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for ongoing temporary assignments at our busy Severnside depot. This role primarily involves trunking and depot-to-depot deliveries to National and Regional Distribution Centres (NDCs and RDCs), with minimal manual handling and occasional self-tipping.

Join a well-established and reputable dairy logistics operation with a modern, well-maintained fleet and regular weekend work available.

Shift Availability

✅ Choose your days of work
✅ Start between 18:00 - 02:00

Pay Rates

Days

• Monday – Friday: £17.30 per hour
• Overtime after 47.5 hours: £19.46 per hour
• Saturday: £19.46 per hour
• Sunday & Bank Holidays: £25.95 per hour

Nights

• Monday – Friday: £19.77 per hour
• Overtime after 47.5 hours: £21.92 per hour
• Saturday: £21.92 per hour
• Sunday & Bank Holidays: £28.41 per hour

💰 Only 30 minutes break deducted per shift

What We're Looking For

✔ Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
✔ No more than 6 penalty points for minor offences
✔ Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
✔ Reliable, enthusiastic, and professional attitude
✔ Willingness to work weekends
✔ Good understanding of Drivers' Hours, WTD and EU Regulations
✔ Motivated and eager to learn

Key Responsibilities

• Completing trunking and depot-to-depot deliveries
• Conducting daily vehicle safety checks
• Ensuring compliance with WTD and EU driving regulations
• Preparing and refuelling vehicles
• Delivering excellent customer service
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time
