HGV Class 1 Driver – Droitwich

🚛 Ongoing Temporary Opportunities Available

We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our busy operation in Droitwich. This role involves a mix of refrigerated multi-drop deliveries to retail stores and occasional trunking work, offering a variety of duties and regular ongoing shifts.

Successful drivers will be responsible for delivering products in cages, with some deliveries requiring the use of a tail lift and manual handling of goods.

Shifts Available

✅ 5 shifts out of 7 (weekend work required)
✅ Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday are the busiest days
✅ Start times available between:

• 09:00 – 17:00
• 21:00 – 06:00

Pay Rates

Days

• Monday – Friday: £17.30 per hour
• Overtime after 47.5 hours: £19.46 per hour
• Saturday: £19.46 per hour
• Sunday & Bank Holidays: £25.95 per hour

Nights

• Monday – Friday: £19.77 per hour
• Overtime after 47.5 hours: £21.92 per hour
• Saturday: £21.92 per hour
• Sunday & Bank Holidays: £28.41 per hour

💰 Only 30 minutes break deducted per shift

Key Responsibilities

• Multi-drop deliveries to retail stores
• Occasional trunking, RDC and inter-depot deliveries
• Safe operation of tail lifts and cages
• Manual handling of trolleys and products
• Vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Refuelling and preparing vehicles for shifts
• Compliance with WTD, EU Drivers' Hours and company procedures
• Providing excellent customer service and ensuring deliveries are completed on time

What We're Looking For

✔ Minimum 6 months' Class 1 driving experience
✔ Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence
✔ Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
✔ No more than 6 points for minor offences
✔ Good communication skills
✔ Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach
✔ Flexibility to work weekends
