We’re expanding our busy Bridgwater Depot and looking for a skilled Workshop Technician to join us full-time.

This is a genuine long-term opportunity within a professional, growing operation where your expertise is valued and rewarded.

💷 Competitive Pay

• £20.03 per hour
• Overtime (after 47.5 hrs): £25.04 per hour
• Saturday: £25.04 per hour
• Sunday: £30.05 per hour

🕒 Shift Pattern

• Monday to Friday
• 10-hour shifts
• Flexible start times
• Occasional weekends (enhanced rates)

🔧 Your Responsibilities

You’ll play a key role in keeping our fleet safe and compliant:

• Inspecting, servicing, and maintaining HGVs to legal and company standards
• Preparing vehicles for MOT and transporting to Test Centres
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
• Handling minor accident damage repairs
• Recording defects and maintaining accurate service documentation
• Working on vehicles, trailers, and ancillary equipment
• Supporting the depot team to deliver high standards

This is hands-on, responsible work where your decisions matter.

✅ What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as an HGV / Commercial Vehicle Technician (essential)
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills
• Ability to work independently with a proactive attitude
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• High attention to detail
• Maximum 6 minor licence points (no CD, DD, DR or IN endorsements)

🎓 Qualifications

• City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3 / BTEC / IMI
  or
• Equivalent practical experience in the commercial vehicle industry
