Chill Operative

We are recruiting at our MMID Normanton Depot for experienced Chill Operatives to join our team on a temporary basis. If you are looking for work in a fast-paced environment and have previously worked in a cold store, this might be a role for you!

Shift patterns:

• 06:00-14:00 4on 4off
• 14:00-22:00 4on 4off
• 22:00-06:00 4on 4off 

Key responsibilities:

• Manually pick milk into trolleys using voice picking
• Move and empty trolleys across the chill
• Load and unload deliveries in a timely manner
• Ensure the accurate stock count and rotation under MLOR regulations (Minimum Life on Receipt)
• Daily cleaning duties within the area
• Report any issues regarding defected trailers

 Skills and experience:

• Experience working in a cold store is highly desirable
• Demonstrates exemplary attendance and timekeeping
• Excellent communication verbal and written with good standard of numeracy skills
• Team player who also works well on their own initiative
• A positive thinking and self-motivated individual

PLEASE NOTE, TWO DIFFERENT PAY RATES MAY APPLY PER ONE SHIFT, DEPENDING ON WORKING HOURS AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE BREAKDOWN BELOW:

Day pay rates: 4am - 6pm

• Monday – Friday £12.37 (overtime after 40hrs £18.56)
• Saturday £15.46
• Sunday £18.56
• Bank Holidays £24.74

Nights pay rates: 6pm - 4am

• Monday – Friday £15.22 (overtime after 40hrs £22.83)
• Saturday £19.03
• Sunday £22.83
• Bank Holidays £30.44
