Job Title:             CNC Miller Setter/Operator

Location:             Hitchin

Hours:                Mon – Thurs 8am – 4:30pm

                          FRI 8am – 3pm

Pay Rate:             £32,000 - £40,500

We are currently recruiting for a CNC Miller Setter for our client in Hitchin. A highly regarded market leader in the Automotive and pharmaceutical industries, specialising in subcontract manufacture of highly precision machined components. Looking to take on an experienced CNC Miller - Setter Operator, due to continued and aggressive expansion and re-investment into brand new machines.

What’s the job?

• Experienced CNC Miller Setter/Operator
• Fanuc & Heidenhain controls
• Quality focused working to a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Able to read and interpret drawings
• Checking for tool wear or breakage and replacing tools when needed.
• Ensuring efficient cycle times while maintaining quality standards.
• Excellent awareness of health and safety aspects at work
• Ensuring smooth production processes
• Verifying that finished components meet tight tolerances and specifications
• Making necessary adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy

Who can do this?

• 10+ Years experience in CNC machining
• Setting and Operating CNC Milling machines experience
• Fanuc and/or Heidenhain experience advantageous
• Working with various materials including Ali and Steel

• Good communication skills.
