Job: Rolling Mill Setter

Location: West Bromwich

Working Hours

• Shift Pattern: 39 hours per week, on a 2-week rotating shift pattern.
• Week 1: Monday - Thursday, 6 am - 2 pm; Friday, 6 am - 1 pm.
• Week 2: Monday - Thursday, 2 pm - 10 pm; Friday, 1 pm - 8 pm.

Pay Rate: £12.50 - £13.00 per hour (depending on experience), plus a 22% shift allowance for day shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and Operate Equipment: Set up and operate cold roll forming equipment, presses, and ancillary machinery.
• Production Efficiency: Maintain production targets and report any challenges or issues that may arise.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all parts meet specified quality standards and conduct quality checks as required.
• Record Keeping: Keep accurate production and quality records.
• 5S Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following 5S standards (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
• Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Health & Safety: Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a culture of safety in the workplace.

What You Bring

• Experience: At least 5 years of experience setting and operating cold roll forming equipment.
• Skills: Strong understanding of cold roll forming and manufacturing processes.
• Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively in a team while also working independently when needed.
• Motivation: Focused on meeting production targets while adhering to safety and quality standards.
