Job Title: Brake Press Setter Operator

Location: Kidderminster

Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Friday: 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Salary: £14.00 to £17.00 per hour

Short Overview:


A manufacturing company based in Kidderminster is seeking an experienced Brake Press Setter Operator to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with brake press machinery, a solid understanding of technical drawings, and a strong attention to detail. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, collaborative team in a growing business.

Key Duties:

  • Operate and set up press brake machinery to bend and shape sheet metal according to specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements.
  • Set and operate mechanical guillotines to cut sheet metal to required lengths for folding.
  • Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, performing basic maintenance as needed.
  • Collaborate with the team to optimize workflow and meet production deadlines.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience operating press brake machinery or similar equipment in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics for measurements and calculations related to fabrication processes.
  • Experience with tooling setup, welding, grinding, and fabrication of sheet metal.
  • Familiarity with legacy Amada press brakes and turret punches, including programming, operation, and basic maintenance.
  • Forklift license and the right to work in the UK.
