Job Description: Spot Welder

Location: West Bromwich
Hours of Work: 39 hours per week on a 2-week rotating shift pattern:

• Shift 1: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
• Shift 2: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Hourly Pay Rate: £11.44 - £12.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Shift Allowance: Additional 22% shift allowance 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality spot welding on various materials and components according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Operate and maintain spot welding machinery and associated equipment.
• Inspect welds to ensure they meet required standards for strength, durability, and appearance.
• Adjust machine settings to accommodate different materials and production requirements.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet daily and weekly targets.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in spot welding is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Good problem-solving skills to troubleshoot welding defects.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and adapt to production schedules.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
