Job Title: Metal Fabricator/Welder

Salary: £13-£16 p/h (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday-Thursday 08.00 to 17.00, Friday 08.00 to 14.00
Overtime: Available during busy periods at 1.5x
About Us:
We have made significant investments in our new metal fabrication unit, equipped with cutting-edge technology, including a 3.2m x 125T press brake, a 3kW fiber laser, and dedicated welding bays. Our team is expanding, and we are looking for a skilled Metal Fabricator/Welder to join our hardworking and friendly team.
You'll be working alongside three experienced colleagues who are currently managing production, and your role will involve providing critical support to our metal fabrication processes, including MIG & TIG welding and operating a brake press. For the right candidate, there will be opportunities to expand your skill set by learning to operate our CNC machines and lasers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate and manage a brake press.
- Perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding.
- Ensure all products are completed to the highest possible standards.
- Interpret technical drawings and documents with precision.
- Proactively ask questions, make suggestions, and provide input on production processes.
- Advise on best practices and recommend suppliers based on your experience.
- Adhere to company health and safety standards.
- Accurately log project timesheets and complete administrative tasks in line with production schedules.

The ideal candidate will be:
- Experienced in metal fabrication: Proficient in working in fab shop environments, operating a brake press, and welding (both MIG & TIG).
- Self-motivated and autonomous: Able to plan, prioritize, and manage tasks independently while also being a team player.

Qualifications:
- Proficient in welding (MIG & TIG) and operating a brake press.
- Previous experience in a fabrication shop environment.
- Strong technical understanding and ability to interpret drawings.
- Fluent in English (a second language is a plus).
- A positive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to contribute to a growing team.
