Job Title: MIG Welder

Location: Kingswinford

Pay Rate: £14 - £15.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 07:30 to 16:00 | Friday, 07:30 to 13:30

Basis: Permanent 

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced MIG Welder to join our team, working on the welding of marine equipment using mild steel. This role involves welding heavy gauge materials in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in MIG welding and a keen eye for detail, ensuring all welds meet high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• MIG welding of heavy gauge mild steel components for marine equipment.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings to complete welding projects.
• Ensuring welds are completed to the required specifications and deadlines.
• Conducting quality checks on all welds to ensure they meet industry standards.
• Maintaining and operating welding equipment and ensuring safe working practices.
• Working as part of a team to meet production targets and project timelines.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a MIG Welder, particularly with heavy gauge materials.
• Strong understanding of mild steel welding and fabrication techniques.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and blueprints.
• High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and a proactive approach to meeting deadlines.
