Quality Engineer

Dayshift 39 Hours

Salary circa £40,000

Quality Engineer required to manage the quality management system (QMS) incorporating internal auditing and supporting third parties.

As part of the Quality Team within this leading provider AS9100-accredited precision engineering services that offers a complete turnkey solution for design and manufacturing across multi-axis machining, press tooling and fabrication, you will be writing and updating processes and procedures relating to the QMS, also documenting requirements and  supporting the upkeep of the departmental metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Upkeep of the Business Management System
  • Create Processes & Procedures and the upkeep of Quality Metrics
  • Liaise with Customers & Suppliers in Complaints handling
  • Carry out Internal & Supplier audits as required
  • Support Customer and Third-Party Audits
  • Create ISIR's / FAIR's
  • Support all internal departments with quality related matters
  • Assist in maintaining and adhering to accredited systems such as AS9100, ISO9001 and all customer requirements.

About you:

Already an experienced Quality Engineer with a solid working knowledge of ISO9001 and ideally AS9100 (not essential but preferred) you will competent in Quality Principles including Problem Resolution / Root Cause Analysis and fully conversant in reading engineering drawings / POs to complete contract reviews.

Knowledge Required:

  • Create Processes & Procedures and upkeep Quality metrics.
  • Create ISIR / FAIR Documentation 
  • Read/ understand engineering drawings
  • Use CMM equipment (Aberlink preferred but not essential).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant qualification/ experience in a similar role.
  • Problem resolution and root cause analysis
  • Visio software
  • AS9100/ ISO9001 audit trained

  • Accurate with a keen eye for detail.
  • Set high personal standards in the achievement of KPI's
  • Work methodically and systematically to achieve quality focused results
