Inspection Team Leader (perm day shift)

Due to continuing growth, this trusted and recognised provider of precision components and engineering solutions to the aerospace and defence, oil and gas, and nuclear sectors is seeking to hire an established Inspection Team Leader to work alongside and supervise QC Inspectors and will be responsible for ensuring workflow through the department.

As Inspection Team Leader, you will be highly competent and capable of training others to interpret engineering drawings for inspection purposes using CMM or gauges as required.

Supervising a team of 3 in conducting inspections of machined components at various stages of the production process using CMM (Aberlink) advanced measuring equipment and tools.

• Verification of subcontract operations specified in the Works Order pack
• Identify and record non conformance
• Generate PPQP and FAI reports

About you:

Ideally with previous experience in a sub-contract machine shop environment, you will have great motivational and organisational skills. Other aspects we seek are:

• Experience in the aerospace and / or nuclear sector (preferred/ not essential).
• Ability to competently read and understand manufacturing drawing requirements including geometric tolerances.
• Preferably have CMM programming skills (Software-Aberlink)
• Highly competent and experienced gauge and CMM Inspector
• Apprentice trained to a minimum of City & Guilds
• Competence and ability to a lead small team and provide workflow direction & priorities in the department
• You will have a good eye for detail and methodical approach.
