Job Title: Paraplanner
Location: South Birmingham
Salary: £45k-£55k dependant on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm

Our client is based in Birmingham with a national coverage of England and Wales, and due to a rapid period of growth, is looking for an experienced paraplanner to join their team of financial advisors.

Our client is part of one of the largest networks of advisors in the UK and builds long lasting relationships, with integrity, honesty and puts their customers at the heart of everything they do.

You will be a financial planning specialist who can provide support with the financial planner to the wider business providing advice solutions for client's financial needs. You will be covering all areas of financial advice, including investments, pensions (investments and withdrawals), portfolio rebalancing and protection.

Day to day duties will include the following:

• Liaison with planners to ensure the most suitable outcome for clients at all times
• In-depth research on varied and suitable options, producing reports and documentation to formulate and support advice decisions.
• Use of cash flow modellers and fund analysis tools for research in recommendations
• Technical calculations and solution shaping, including IHT planning, chargeable events, LTA calculations, carry forward calculations and plan encashment options
• Technical calculations including bond encashments, pension withdrawals and LTA calculations
• Detailed fund and product research, including pricing, features, company suitability and stability and SLA's.
• Managing a varied and complex workload and adapting to immediate needs and changes.

As an individual you will be need the following skills and experience:

• Previous paraplanner experience (Essential)
• Product knowledge: SIPP, SSAS, DB, DC, EIS's, VCT's, Investment Bond's, Unit Trust's and protection (Essential)
• System experience: XPLAN, Selectapension, Dynamic planner, Trustnet (Desirable but not essential)
• Platforms used: Quilter, Aegon, Aviva, Standard Life, Prudential to name but a few
