Schedule: Monday to Wednesday 6pm to 7am & Thursday 6pm to 1.00am - 3 Days off

Job description.

The role of CNC Turner, programmer, setter operator will include the following duties:

⦁ Program Jobs unaided from drawings using Fanuc controls.
⦁ Experience with CAD/CAM would be beneficial.
⦁ Program jobs with 2 axis lathes
⦁ Load machine with Vices / Fixture
⦁ Load the tooling with correct offsets.
⦁ Upload programs
⦁ Run the jobs to completion to our exacting standards.

The ideal candidate will:

⦁ Have proven experience of programming, setting and operating Milling machines using Heidenhain controls.
⦁ Be able to demonstrate the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Ideally have an engineering apprenticeship however experience is the overriding factor.
⦁ Overtime/additional hours may be required, depending on the workload of the business.
⦁ Be able to work well on their own as well as part of a team.
⦁ Producing high-quality work to fine tolerances.
⦁ Professional and self-motivated attitude.
⦁ Good organisational & time management skills.

Benefits

⦁ Productivity Bonus; £4.00 (For every hour saved on the job. Shop average 4-5hrs /week)
⦁ Pension; 3% (7% total including employee contribution), plus an extra 2% after 2 or more years’ service.
⦁ Holiday pay; Average weekly gross earnings
⦁ Holidays per year; 33 Days (including statutory)
⦁ Sick pay; Basic pay for 13 weeks, then half pay for a further 13 weeks.
