Job Title: Technical Pricing Executive
Location: Coventry
Hours: Commensurate with the position of your role within the organisation, you will be required to adopt a flexible approach to the hours worked and which may be necessary for the proper performance of your duties. The basic contractual hours will be 37.5 hours per week, with an unpaid lunch break of half an hour.

Role

Our growth strategy is gathering momentum and with more new customers coming into the Fraikin portfolio, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Technical Pricing Executive to support the Commercial Pricing Manager throughout all aspects of the vehicle design, specification and quotation process to ensure the vehicles meet customer expectations, legal compliance and suitability for purpose. The Technical Pricing team are responsible for the production of quotations for contract hire and fleet management business from a technical and pricing perspective. The job holder will work closely with the sales teams, engineering and commercial functions in order to specify and price all cost and capital elements and manage through the quotation prior to business sign off.

General Responsibilities  

  • Adhere to all statutory requirement regarding fire, health, safety and hygiene.
  • Participate in cross / multi skilled training within your department or other departments as deemed appropriate by your Manager.
  • Carry out any reasonable instruction as directed by a Manager [or Director]
  • Deal with all internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
  • Maintain a high level of dress and appearance at all times adhering to PPE where the role requires this
  • Attend any training sessions as requested and adhere to all company regulations.
  • From time to time you may be required to carry out duties outside the normal sphere of work as may be reasonably requested by Management.

Job Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Ensure that the most appropriate supplier has been selected from the preferred supplier listings, incorporating tendering and benchmark exercises with the procurement team when appropriate.
  • To ensure that commercially and technically, the best solution is specified and priced in order to provide the most competitive quotation to our customers and prospects in order to grow top line.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Technical, Engineering and commercial to provide the most effective solution to strategic bids.
  • To ensure that all relevant documentation is produced, verified, distributed and recorded in accordance with Technical Pricing processes.
  • To support any future changes required within the area by using your experience and knowledge to add value to the overall business processes.
  • To operate in line with agreed KPI’s and SLA’s.
  • To update departmental reports and spreadsheets in a timely and accurate manner.
  • To ensure all documentation relating to contract extensions, redeployments and sales are received in full, completed and processed correctly.
  • Use evolved industry knowledge to provide innovative solutions for the benefit of the sales process.
  • To ensure that contract specific requirements have been met and achieve a satisfactory balance between viable commercial pricing and competitiveness in the market.
  • Review and input capital costs for all elements of the quotations and to appropriately allocate additional service provisions of the proposed agreement being quoted.
  • To actively leverage the supply chain to gain the most commercially acceptable pricing with the aid of the procurement department for maximum returns to Fraikin.
  • Will provide alternatives to the sales teams to aid Fraikin in having the best technically priced solution.
  • Advise the sales teams, customers and prospects of the most suitable vehicles, terms and mileage to suit their requirements and this reduce the need for ‘quoting all alternatives’.

Person Specification (Qualifications, knowledge, Skills, and Experience) 

  • Must demonstrate credibility through the ability to discuss and broker detailed technical solutions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must be commercially astute and numerate.
  • Experience of specifying costing and pricing commercial vehicles.
  • To adopt a customer focused approach with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Demonstrates a strong team ethos and the ability to transact within the framework of the Fraikin Way.
  • Ability to question internal and external stakeholders and provide innovation.
  • Educated to A-Level standard or Equivalent.
  • Ambassador for Fraikin sets an example for more junior colleagues.
