Schedule: Monday – Thursday 7:30am till 3:30pm - Friday 7am till 2:30pm
Based in Sheffield, our client is a family owned and run, as an engineering tool and cutter manufacturer and offers a regrind and retip service to general engineering but in particular the bearing industry.
Job description
The role of CNC Miller, programmer, setter operator will include the following duties:
⦁ Program Jobs unaided from drawings using Fanuc controls.
⦁ Experience with CAD/CAM would be beneficial.
⦁ Program jobs with 3 & 5 Axis
⦁ Load machine with Vices / Fixture
⦁ Load the tooling with correct offsets.
⦁ Upload programs
⦁ Run the jobs to completion to our exacting standards.
The ideal candidate will:
⦁ Have proven experience of programming, setting and operating Milling machines using Fanuc controls.
⦁ Be able to demonstrate the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Ideally have an engineering apprenticeship however experience is the overriding factor.
⦁ Overtime/additional hours may be required, depending on the workload of the business.
⦁ Be able to work well on their own as well as part of a team.
⦁ Producing high-quality work to fine tolerances.
⦁ Professional and self-motivated attitude.
⦁ Good organisational & time management skills.
