Job Title: MIG/TIG Welder - Large Complex Fabrications

Location : Kidderminster

Pay: £14.00-£14.50 ph ( BOE)

Hours: Mon- Thurs 8am-4.30 pm/Fri 8am – 1 pm

Basis: Permanent

As a MIG/TIG Welder, you will be responsible for manufacturing large, complex fabrications, primarily using Zintec-coated steels. This role involves interpreting dimensions from computer models, setting up and operating welding equipment to meet drawing specifications, and utilizing jigs and fixtures to ensure precision. You will be expected to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety, and actively contribute to company improvement activities. The role requires working shifts and spending approximately 85% of the time welding.

Dimensions & Limits of Authority:

• Efficient use of materials and time.
• Maintain health & safety standards and housekeeping.
• Report issues to the Team Leader.
• Authority to sign off route cards for ISO 9001 compliance.

Qualifications:

• CSE in Maths & English, Metalwork, or Woodwork.
• Certified proficiency in welding.
• Minimum of 5 years of fabrication welding experience.
• Computer literacy for accessing and interpreting computer models.

Experience:

• Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding.
• Experience with large, complex fabrications (e.g., Heller Main Guard).
• Ability to weld various materials, including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and Zintec-coated steels.
