Position: Purchase Ledger Administrator
Contract: 6-Month Fixed Term (potential for extension or permanency)

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Administrator to join our Inventory Operations team. The role entails delivering a professional and efficient service to the Finance and Buying functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and allocate invoices received via email and post.
  • Process retail and non-retail invoices using our invoice matching system.
  • Liaise with the purchasing department and stores to resolve queries.
  • Adhere to strict month-end deadlines.
  • Reconcile monthly supplier statements and take necessary actions.
  • Create new supplier accounts in the system.
  • Manage outgoing post.
  • Answer phone calls and resolve supplier queries.
  • Support the Purchase Ledger team with weekly supplier BACS runs.
  • Perform ad hoc administrative duties as required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience in purchase ledger and administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Flexible approach to tasks and duties; team player.
