Location:              Cheltenham and Tewkesbury

Hours:                   Monday-Thursday 08.00 to 17.00, Friday 08.00 to 14.00

  • Must be able to commute via own transport.
  • Willingness to travel abroad, and also potentially spend weekends away.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Programming of PLC / Touch Screen / Network / SCADA.
  • Liaising with internal panel builders to ensure the systems are built to spec.
  • On site installation and commissioning.
  • Service and fault finding on existing systems.
  • Project management.
  • Training and mentoring other team members.
  • Ensuring all projects are delivered in a timely manner and to the highest standards possible.

You will need the following skills and experience:

  • Industrial Control Systems.
  • PLC Programming (Allen Bradley/ Siemens)
  • Industrial Networks (EtherNET, ProfiNET)
  • Manufacturing industry processes
  • Experience of programming robotics (ideal)
  • EPLAN electrical design (ideal)
  • Plastics processing machinery (ideal)
  • Packaging systems (ideal)
  • Previous working experience abroad. (ideal)

The position:

You will need to be able to work with both in-house and on customer sites around the UK & Ireland, with also potential to work worldwide. Due to the travel, it is rare that you will be expected to stay away at weekend, but this can happy from time to time.

You'll play a key role in the design, installation, service, and manufacture of our custom control systems and machinery. You'll deliver programming capabilities for individual control panels, but more frequently, you'll design intricate control systems from scratch as part of comprehensive turnkey automation solutions. This will involve close collaboration with our mechanical and electrical design engineering teams.
