Job Title: CNC Miller Programmer

Hours: MON – THURS 7.00AM – 3.30
FRI 7.00 – 12PM
Pay Rate: £32,000 - £33,000
We are currently recruiting for a CNC Miller Programmer for our client in Long Eaton. They are the leading provider of high-quality educational equipment for engineering disciplines. Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced CNC Miller to join our clients busy and highly motivated team on a permanent contract.
The person;
- The work is varied, interesting and demanding and they expect high standard for quality and performance.
- With a time served background you will be expected to manufacture a wide range of steel and aluminium components on our HAAS and Hurco CNC Milling machines.
- You will require a good practical knowledge of CNC machining.
- You will join the manufacturing department, ensuring that quality standards are met on all components, by following company processes, and procedures.

What’s the job?
- Programming, setting and operating 3 axis Haas or Hurco CNC Milling Machines within a low volume, small batch environment
- Self-inspection of components using manual measuring equipment
- Creation of programmes, jigs & fixtures for new components
- Ensure manufactured parts are produced in the most efficient manner
- Setting and running multiple machines when the component and/or batch sizes allow
Who can do this?
Essential
- Programming, setting and operating experience of CNC Milling machinery – preferably HAAS or Hurco Machines
- CNC Milling experience within a similar hi-tech environment – ideally apprentice trained
- Able to work accurately to deadlines
- An ability to read 1st and 3rd angle engineering drawings
- An enthusiastic team player with a can-do/flexible attitude
- Experience of using mild metals
Desirable
- Relevant qualifications
- A willingness to help in other areas of the factory should the demand arise
- Conventional Milling/Bridgeport experience
- Experience of programming with Edgecam
- Manual and/or CNC Turning experience
