Job Description: We are currently seeking a Payroll Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess or be working towards a CIPD qualification and will have previous experience working within a payroll environment. This role requires a strong numerical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and exceptional organisational skills. The successful candidate will be a team player with good people skills, adaptable to change, and willing to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the processing of payroll for employees accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company policies regarding payroll processing.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity.
  • Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies and inquiries from employees.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate employee data and payments.
  • Support in the preparation of payroll reports and analysis as required.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in payroll legislation and regulations.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • CIPD qualification or working towards it is preferred.
  • Previous experience working within a payroll environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Excellent people skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new processes and technologies.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in IT with strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
