Job Title: Regional Sales Manager 

Location: Covering Midlands and South territory 

Hours: Commensurate with the position of your role within the organisation, you will be required to adopt a flexible approach to the hours worked and which may be necessary for the proper performance of your duties.
Normal office hours of 09:00 – 17:00pm with an unpaid lunch break of half an hour, Monday to Friday.

We are recruiting for an experienced Regional Sales Manager responsible for uncovering, nurturing and winning new vehicle contact hire business across a geographical area.
Targeting SME customers fleets across a range of sectors of between 10>125 vehicles for the provision of commercial vehicle full service contract hire, you will open doors, have meaningful conversations and build relationships that are based on truly understanding the customers needs, winning business by building a true value proposition.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:



  • Adhere to all statutory requirements regarding fire, health, safety and hygiene
  • Carry out any reasonable instruction as directed by a Manager [or Director]
  • Deal with all internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner at all times
  • Maintain a high level of dress and appearance at all times adhering to PPE where the role requires this
  • Attend any training sessions as requested and adhere to all company regulations
  • From time to time you may be required to carry out duties outside the normal sphere of work as may be reasonably requested by Management

Job Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement a sales plan to generate new customers, through cold calling, face to face, email and other channels to create new business sales opportunities and appointments
  • Research and network to identify the key prospects within your region, proactively self generating leads which convert into opportunities 
  • Visiting prospects/customers to promote vehicle contract hire fleet and service solutions
  • Efficient planning and management of the territory
  • Work with internal functions and marketing to promote, create and deliver a true value proposition inline with the customers needs 
  • Develop innovative solutions to differentiate Fraikin and add value to new customers
  • Create sales proposals, presenting quotations and technical drawings against customer requirements 
  • Deliver fleet volume, total revenue and contract value targets
  • Continuously monitor competitor strengths / weaknesses to exploit available opportunities
  • Develop product knowledge and remain up to date on technological advances, legislation developments and how these can have a positive impact on both revenue and profits
  • Ensure CRM database is always maintained to reflect current status of pipeline, activities, contacts, fleet numbers and competitor details
  • Promote the services of Fraikin’s other core business functions, truck rental, fleet management, raising inter-department leads and increasing customer growth and profitability
  • Work with the customer service teams to resolve customer query to 100% satisfaction and ensure the timely customer payment  
  • Working closely with the customer service team and internal functions to deliver added value product growth
  • Develop and build long standing commercial customer partnerships and relationships, working closely with the customer service team and internal functions to deliver added value products and secure additional business growth

 Person Specification 

  • Knowledge of commercial vehicle engineering (ideally time served or with appropriate qualification).
  • Relationship Management including high levels of influencing & persuasion skills.
  • Verbal and numerical skills both written and oral.
  • Experience of budgetary cost management.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Proven experience to manage suppliers to agreed KPI’s.
  • Flexible attitude to working hours.
  • Fully competent in Computer literacy (Office 365/ Excel/Word/Powerpoint/M3).
  • Highly organised and good discipline in managing a varied and comprehensive workload able to meet deadlines.
