Our client has been delivering quality residential groundworks and civil engineering services for over 25 years. Operating in the Midlands and Home Counties, their experienced team and large fleet of machinery allow them to respond to client needs and challenges whilst offering the best quality of service; collaborative working within the sector is something they value highly.

They are looking for an Accounts Assistant who will be responsible for performing daily transactions, covering accounts payable, accounts receivable and CIS processing.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Process weekly invoices and resolve any related queries.
  • Process CIS payments and update relevant systems.
  • Process and maintain the sub-contractor ledger - ensuring payments are up to date and liaise with other departments where necessary.
  • Produce sales ledger invoices and chase for payments.
  • Provide information to Senior Managers on request.
  • Produce weekly hire invoices.

The Successful Applicant will:

  • Have proven experience in an account's generalist role processing accounts payable/accounts receivable to month end deadlines.
  • Be able to multi-task department needs, plan and prioritise and shift priorities quickly in a fast-moving environment.
  • Be able to demonstrate methodical administration skills with good attention to detail.
  • Have excellent communication across all business levels.
  • Hold high levels of accuracy.
  • Be resilient, professional and possess a good work ethic.
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to the business needs of a growing and changing organisation.
  • GDPR competent.
  • Proficient with MS office software (Word, Excel).
  • CIS knowledge – preferable
  • Qualified to Level 2 AAT- preferable.
