Experienced Grounds Maintenance Team Leader

Package: up to £32,000 DOE, Company Van, Pension & 28 days Holiday

PGE Landscaping Ltd, a leading provider of professional landscaping services, is seeking experienced Grounds Maintenance Team Leaders to oversee our operations on commercial sites, including new home developments, commercial premises, and local authority works. Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage a grounds maintenance team to ensure efficient and high-quality services.
  • Schedule and coordinate daily tasks, providing guidance and support to team members.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

Grounds Maintenance:

  • Perform and oversee a variety of grounds maintenance tasks, including mowing, strimming, hedge cutting, and leaf blowing.
  • Utilize a range of equipment, including ride-on mowers, pedestrian mowers, strimmer’s, hedge cutters, and leaf blowers, ensuring proper maintenance and safe operation.
  • Implement best practices to enhance the aesthetics of commercial sites.

Client Liaison:

  • Communicate regularly with clients to understand their expectations and address any concerns.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop and implement customized grounds maintenance plans.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Optimise the use of resources, including equipment, materials, and manpower, to meet project deadlines and budgetary constraints.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all operations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in grounds maintenance, with a focus on commercial sites.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Proficient in operating and maintaining grounds maintenance equipment, including ride-on mowers, pedestrian mowers, strimmer’s, hedge cutters, and leaf blowers.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to grounds maintenance.
  • Driving License
